Refund and Return Policy
1. No-Return Policy — Health and Hygiene Exception
AlkoSafe is a saliva-based alcohol test that comes into direct contact with bodily fluids. Once a product has been opened or its sealed packaging has been tampered with, it cannot be returned or exchanged for health and hygiene reasons.
This policy is consistent with the following consumer protection regulations that exempt hygiene-sensitive goods from the standard right of withdrawal:
- EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(e) — exempts sealed goods not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, where the seal has been broken after delivery.
- UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Regulation 28(3)(b) — provides the same exemption for sealed goods that have been unsealed after delivery.
- Turkish Distance Sales Regulation (Mesafeli Sözleşmeler Yönetmeliği) — exempts goods that are unsuitable for return due to their nature, including health and hygiene products.
2. Sealed Products — 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If your AlkoSafe product is still factory-sealed and in its original, unopened packaging, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the order.
To exercise this right:
- Email info@alkosafe.com within 14 days of delivery, stating your order number and reason for return.
- We will confirm your return request and provide return shipping instructions.
- Ship the sealed, unopened product back to us. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- Once we receive and inspect the product, we will process your refund within 14 calendar days.
3. Damaged or Defective Products
If your AlkoSafe product arrives damaged or is found to be defective, we will provide a full replacement or refund at no cost to you.
To report a damaged or defective item:
- Email info@alkosafe.com within 7 days of receiving the product.
- Include your order number and clear photographs showing the damage or defect.
- We will review your claim and, if approved, arrange a replacement shipment or refund at no additional cost to you.
4. Wrong Item Received
- Email info@alkosafe.com with your order number and a description or photo of the item received.
- We will arrange collection of the incorrect product at our expense.
- The correct item will be dispatched to you as soon as possible.
5. Lost Orders
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery window, please allow an additional 5 business days to account for potential carrier delays. If the order still has not been delivered after this period:
- Contact us at info@alkosafe.com with your order number.
- We will open an investigation with the shipping carrier and aim to resolve the matter within 3 business days.
- If the order is confirmed as lost, we will send a replacement or issue a full refund at your preference.
6. Refund Processing
- Credit or debit card: 3–10 business days after the refund is issued, depending on your card provider.
- Bank transfer (EFT/Havale): 3–5 business days after the refund is issued.
