This page explains how the articles on the AlkoSafe blog are written, checked and corrected.
Who is responsible for the articles
The articles are published under the name of Kazim Altınok, a biochemist and the founder of CROM TEST and AlkoSafe. He is responsible for the development, quality control, approval processes and sales of the AlkoSafe saliva alcohol test. Drafts are prepared by the AlkoSafe editorial team; Kazim Altınok reviews and approves every article before it is published.
How we check facts
Statements about alcohol, health and traffic rely on primary sources: peer-reviewed studies listed in PubMed and official pages such as those of the Turkish Traffic Department. Every article lists its sources, and we give the date on which we checked them.
We take numbers as the source states them. Legal topics are described with a link to the official source, and our articles are not legal advice. Statements about AlkoSafe itself come from the product documentation, such as the instructions for use and certificates.
Our commercial interest
AlkoSafe sells saliva alcohol test strips, so articles about alcohol testing on this site come from a company with a commercial interest. We do not describe AlkoSafe as more accurate than other methods without a source, and no article says that a test result makes it safe to drive.
Updates
Each article shows the date of its last update. We review articles when a source, a legal limit or our product changes.
Corrections
If you find an error, write to info@alkosafe.com with the page address and what is wrong. Kazim Altınok reviews every report. We correct confirmed errors and update the date; when a correction changes the substance of an article, we add a note at the end saying what was changed and when.
What our articles do not replace
They do not replace medical advice, an official breath or blood test, or the traffic law that applies to you. AlkoSafe is a personal screening test, and a result does not show that you are fit to drive.
