Our Story

Who We Are

CROM TEST was established to address a clear gap in the Turkish and regional rapid test market: products that combine the quality of Western European manufacturers with the pricing accessibility and domestic manufacturing advantages of Turkish production.

The result is AlkoSafe — a saliva alcohol test that uses the same materials as European hospital labs, validated with Swiss and British research methodology, manufactured in Turkey under ISO 13485:2016 quality management.

We operate under the EGEFE & Green Med group — a company with over 20 years of experience across hospital systems, forensic applications, law enforcement equipment, and large-scale healthcare infrastructure.

AlkoSafe is designed and manufactured entirely in Turkey. Our production facility operates under ISO 13485:2016 quality management — the international standard for medical device manufacturing — with full traceability from raw material intake to finished product release.

The core of AlkoSafe’s performance is its membrane. We use nitrocellulose membranes sourced exclusively from Merck (Germany) and Sartorius (Switzerland) — the same suppliers used by European hospital diagnostic laboratories.

Our research methodology — the formulation of the Alcohol Oxidase enzyme system, the buffer chemistry, and the threshold calibration — was developed in collaboration with UK and Swiss technical partners.
